WHY YOU DON'T DO GROUP EXERCISE

I know how I appear on social media. I'm sure you think I am super confident, and fearless, especially when it comes to fitness. But, I promise you, there's a nervousness every time begin a workout, even my own...

Am I strong enough today? Are people judging me in my ability? Are they critiquing my body? What if I can't complete all of the reps? Who will be there? What if I don't know anybody, and am an outcast, or OUTLIER? 

I still have these thoughts, even having been in the industry for 10 years now. However, I will say they are a bit more tame than they once were. I have come to enjoy the adventure in tackling something new, and am more comfortable conversing with strangers (nothing brings people together faster than commiserating in exercise). My body is stronger, and am capable of more than I was... But, there is, and probably always will be some fear of judgement, no matter how fit I become, but hey, I'm working on it. Every day I'm more and more comfortable in my own skin, and enjoy being a non-conformist.

I know I'm not alone.

These fears, the ones ALL OF YOU have, are in being UNCOMFORTABLE. 

I know that there are MANY out there who have yet to step foot in a group fitness class, or even a simple workout with a friend, because of these fears. 

I pray that you let go, and relish in all things ambiguous, and uncertain. I pray that you find a surge of fulfillment in the energy, and invigoration of a group sweat. 

HERE'S HOW WE SOLVE THAT @ KADI:
We DO have MALES and females, of all different shapes, sizes, ages and walks of life. 

We are a TRIBE, but we are a welcoming one. We talk to you. Even the people who aren't paid to be here will engage in genuine conversation, and interest in YOU. It's been an organic, collaboration of like-minded, driven, but genuinely decent humans.

We are on all different walks of the journey, with different vantage points, heading up the same mountain. Don't be surprised if someone in front of you reaches down and pulls you up one more giant step. 

We do want to see you progress and transform. So at whatever point you show up as the first day, GREAT (there are modifications for everything)! From that point on, you will take small steps toward your best self, and before you know it, you won't even recognize the old you. 

We transform more than just the physical. It's great to aspire to have a hot body, and achieve it. There's nothing wrong with wanting to look lean and healthy, and if you are driven, you WILL get there. The change in your body may be the reason you show up in the first place. However, the transformation in your LIFE, the fire that ignites and drives you to live out your VISION, is what keeps you coming back. 

Now that we all know we have the same fears, have identified the problem, and conflict within, we have your solution- JUST SHOW UP. From there you'll recognize that many of those fears are false, and for the ones that may be real, you'll gain a great reward in overcoming (solution). 

WHAT'S THE WORST THAT CAN HAPPEN?

SEE YOU ALL IN CLASS... All of you IMPERFECT, AWKWARD, UNCOMFORTABLE, FEARFUL, WARRIORS.
