MUSIC TO “MOVE YOU”

I truly believe that music is the “soundtrack to our lives.” For every feeling, experience and life event I search for the perfect song to fit the moment. It gets me through each day, igniting my passion for the things I have to accomplish. As people enter my studio I want them to hear music that gives them a wonderful feeling and ignites their soul. So a few days ago I went on itunes searching for some fabulous music to play in the background of the new studio and stumbled across quite a few awesome artists.

Anya Marina is my new favorite artist. She is a singer song-writer and is quickly becoming an over-night sensation.

Her lyrcs in “Move It” are a great reflection of the purpose of Kadi- the blog, the classes, training… everything. Although she’s a bit more tongue-to-cheek than I am, maybe sometimes that’s what we need.

I wanna move you around yeah, yeah you with your itinerant life
you’re mouthin’ off but never finding the light alright, alright but now it’s settled,
now I’m settling in your bones i’m working into your soul you gotta give it a go!
I wanna move you around I wanna kick off your boots, give up the fight, summon the night,
sick and tired of you so polite. I wanna move you.

If you like what you hear, find her on itunes.
