WHAT A FEELING
RECAP

Last week was the first week that my studio was open for business. Many sweet souls have been asking how it went so I thought I would do a recap… I also wanted to write it down because memories are so important and I am one of the most forgetful people in America.
I usually have at least a couple in my 6am classes which is even more than I expected! It’s a great way to start the day… waking up my body, stretching and getting to see the smiling faces of the “crazy ones” who commit themselves that early.
After everyone leaves I lock myself in the studio and work on my beautiful blog to connect myself with the world. It’s one of my favorite parts of the day… a cup of coffee in the studio, and my blog.
Next comes the paperwork… ho hum. Last week I had a good amount of guests stopping in the studio inquiring about memberships which was greatly heart-warming. NOTE: Feel free to interrupt my paperwork hours at any time!
There are usually a few more in my lunchtime classes, which is wonderful. I go back to work, or choreographing and before I know it it’s 4:30 and time for 2-3 classes back to back. It all flies by! My 6pm classes are the most packed and the most energetic. If it weren’t for their cheers, laughter and excitement, I don’t know how I would make it through the last class of the day. They fuel every bit of my enthusiasm. Thank you ladies AND gentlemen!
I’m not gonna lie… it is taxing teaching 21 classes a week. I have aggravated an old injury in my foot, but it’s not something some athletic tape and new shoes can’t cure. The funny thing is I already felt like my studio was “Flashdance-esque” and now I have the taped feet to match. As pathetic and silly as that sounds, it makes me smile.
But I want you to know, worn-out, tired, injured and all… I wouldn’t trade it in for a second.

GO KATIE! You are an amazing instructor and inspire so many to work out hard to make their bodies and souls feel good.
Thank you for your hard work. I’m really enjoying all the classes I’m able to get to. Somehow I’ve missed my favorite song (lol) “That’s not my name” by the Ting Tings and all those ballet plies.
