RAW DIET: AFTER ONE WEEK
Video by the “Raw Family”
Greetings from Emerald Isle NC!
We made it to the beach safe and sound late last night. To be completely honest… I cheated on the raw diet and had BBQ last night (Smithfield’s is my FAVORITE BBQ and it was on the way)! Yikes! It was my first cooked meal in 6 days. I noticed that I got full much faster. I feel like my body was telling me I was eating something it really didn’t need… however the taste was still delicious. My conclusion was made right then and there: I LOVE how I look and feel on the raw diet (better skin, more energy, and a few pounds lighter). However, there are a few things I wouldn’t want to give up forever. Therefore, my goal now is to eat all but 1 meal per day raw. To me, that would be a wonderful lifestyle diet. But, from what I’ve heard, the more you eat raw, the more you want it.
Because I am NO expert in the subject of raw diets, I sought guidance from someone more experienced. This included “The Raw Family”, who was “able to heal all of our incurable, life-threatening diseases” on a raw diet. Three cheers for that! They even took raw one step further… Here’s an excerpt from the article the family sent me.
My husband, our two younger children and I have been on the raw food diet for more than eleven years. We were able to heal all of our incurable, life-threatening diseases. However, after several years of being raw, each one of us began to feel like we had reached a plateau where our healing process stopped and even somewhat began to go backwards. Since then a burning question in my heart grew stronger every day. The question was, “Is there anything missing in our diet?” The answer would come right away: “Nope. Nothing could be better than a raw food diet.”
Yet, however tiny, the unwanted signs of less than perfect health kept surfacing, in minor but noticeable symptoms like a wart on a hand, a gray hair, etc. that instantly brought doubts and questions about the completeness of the raw food diet.
Victoria’s findings have completely intrigued me. The more I read about eating fruits and veggies to reverse serious illnesses, the signs of aging, and ultimately people’s lifespans, the more I have become a believer. I’m doing my best to stay raw at the beach, except for 1 meal a day. I am happy to say it’s not because I have to, but because I WANT to. :)
Love Wins,
Katie

I’m sure Smithfield’s was worth it. We stopped there on our way to the beach and on the way home over the July 4th weekend. Hope you have a wonderful time at the beach.
Cindy- Isn’t it great?! Please check out some of the other classes while I’m gone. I think it will be refreshing for everyone to do some different stuff. Have a great week! :)
